The Coaching Partnership
Coaching is a unique confidential relationship where the professionally trained coach is there to both support and stretch you. You are in regular contact with your coach.
Frequency and types of coaching
Some clients like face to face coaching, others prefer the focus of telephone coaching. Some like a combination of a longer face to face session plus shorter phone sessions each month. Some clients really benefit from the occasional text or email from their coach. Some like to work on self assessments between sessions. Others enjoy the space to think with their coach and don't want other contact between session. Some have marketing departments or agencies working for them and others do it themselves and like our input.
Groups
Where there are groups of people with common objectives, budgets can go further if we deliver part of the coaching program in group format. We only do group work where there are a series of workshops or where attendees also receive at least one individual coaching session. This is because research shows that only 20% of training is implemented whereas with coaching, 80% is implemented.
We recommend at least fortnightly contact for momentum.
We recommend a Coaching Program for a minimum of 4 months for life and career coaching and 6 months for business and entrepreneur coaching. This allows time to implement the strategies developed. Also, often clients coaching objectives change as they become more aware of what they REALLY want.
The coaches only deal with a limited number of clients at any one time and have a maximum number of coaching sessions available each week so that they are able to fully support them.
Steps we take with all clients
When an individual or business owner is curious about how coaching may help them or their business
- Firstly we establish your broad objectives.
- We then match you to the most suitable coach(es) and arrange an initial FREE relaxed consultation for you to “meet” your coach by phone or in person and discuss what you would hope coaching will help you achieve. This is also a chance to see if you and your coach gel and would enjoy working together.
- You then complete a brief multiple choice questionnaire to establish if you are ready for coaching.
- We agree expectations of both parties, your preferred frequency and format of coaching, the support you prefer if any between scheduled sessions and the corresponding fee structure.
NB for coaching whole firms or departments, steps 2 and 4 are more involved and there may be a fee for a detailed written report and consultation.
If both parties are keen to proceed, then we issue you with your contract terms.
Each client receives their own coaching folder (to help them track progress.
We complete a “fact find” to record your current situation, aims and objectives in more detail.
There are general questionnaires and a range of specific “fact finds” specific to certain professionals or types of business

Format of a one to one coaching session either by phone or in person
The content varies tremendously as we follow your agenda, but the process will almost always include:-
- A brief review of progress since the last session.
- The agenda for the new session;
- Insights, decisions and learning points;
- Possibly hand outs;
- Agreeing actions before the next session;
- Possibly agreeing further things to address or add to the strategic plan.
Other coaching formats
Laser coaching sessions are one off coaching sessions to address just one topic. There is no on going coaching support program or strategy. Laser coaching is suitable for someone stuck on a particular issue. It's ideal for previous clients who have already completed a coaching program.
NLP sessions including Time Line
Neuro Linguistic Programming helps people understand how they communicate with themselves and others. It's methodology enhances excellence and choice for responding in situations. Some coaching sessions incorporate NLP and the format may change.
There is one process called Time Line Breakthrough which is a powerful stand alone process to help people change thought patterns and beliefs or let go of past limiting emotions. Ask for more details
Sales coaching Sales coaching where the coach observes you in action, is available for those who are serious about improving their interpersonal communication and selling skills.
Business partners/directors
We often coach co directors and business partners together to help them plan strategically and work together more closely (They also usually each have an individual session each month).

As the coaching program is tailored for you, we would first discuss the most suitable format of coaching for you and the frequency and mode of contact, then calculate the corresponding fee per month. Call for a chat.
